World Malayalee Council America Region Student Engagement Platform (SEP) along with WMC global is working in collaboration with Rise.

A Global Talent Program For Outstanding Young People Building A Better World.

Do you know a brilliant 15-17 year old?

Rise is a program that finds brilliant people who need opportunity and supports them for life as they work to serve others. The program starts at ages 15–17 and offers access to benefits that last a lifetime including scholarships, mentorship, access to career development opportunities, funding, and more as Global Winners work toward solving humanity’s most pressing problems.

Rise is an initiative of Schmidt Futures and Rhodes Trust, and the anchor of a $1 billion commitment We believe that educators, parents, and community leaders are uniquely positioned to help Rise find talented young people who may go undiscovered or unsupported otherwise. Unlike many traditional applications, Rise uses videos, projects, and group interviews so applicants have multiple opportunities to showcase their potential.

Everyone who applies joins a global community of leaders and gains access to free online courses and opportunities from Rise partners around the world. Up to 500 Finalists are selected to participate in “Finalist Days,” then 100 Global Winners are chosen each year to receive benefits for life to help them scale their impact.

In its first year, Rise connected talented young people from over 170 countries. All applicants must be 15-17 years old as of July 1, 2022.
